Mikayla is a social justice advocate, a passion driven individual and a person with a powerful narrative to share for the purpose of uplifting community. Mikayla is a television writer, a national and international award-winning screenwriter and a creative who boldly contributes to this industry as a change maker. She recently served as the Writer, Director and Producer of the mini-docuseries, Facing the Storm: The Indigenous Response to Climate Change and she wrote a professional episode of television in collaboration with Glen Mazzara on Beacon

Mikayla co-founded Aminata Multimedia Group with her mom and forever best friend, Marya Gingrey, and they work together to continue building a community of creators dedicated to telling diverse stories.

Marya Gingrey is the Executive Producer of the mini-docuseries, Facing the Storm: The Indigenous Response to Climate Change, and co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aminata Multimedia Group. As an attorney, she brings 35 years of experience as a Transformative Leader in the Social Justice, DEI and Community Building space. Marya’s career has focused on centering community voice in the creation of inclusive spaces to build collective power and systemic change.

Her vision for Aminata Multimedia Group is to combine her previous experience and passion for creating a platform to elevate powerful stories, powerful people and powerful experiences that express the best of who we are and what we can become.
